The authors of "Novel Proteins Linking the Actin Cytoskeleton to the Endocytic Machinery in Saccharomyces cerevisiae" (Mol. Biol. Cell [2002] 13, 3646-3661) would like to correct an error. Having resequenced some constructs for another study, it transpires that one construct was not as stated in the paper. The region of Lsb5 that interacts with Sla1 was reported to be residues 244-329. The authors now believe that this latter residue number was arrived at through a sequencing error, and the construct in fact expresses a region that includes the extreme C-terminus of Lsb5 (residues 244-354). Therefore the sequence contains the NPF motif, which has been shown to interact with the HD1 domain of Sla1p in another study ( Howard et al., J. Cell Biol. [(2002). ] 157, , 315-326[Abstract/Free Full Text]).
