The authors of "A Novel Mechanism for Mitogen-activated Protein Kinase Localization" (Mol. Biol. Cell [2004] 15, 4457–4466) would like to make a correction to the paper. The deletion mutant of GFP-ERK3, initially reported as spanning amino acids 383-98, actually extends to amino acid 403. The ERK3 amino acid sequence absent in the constructs GFP-ERK3 {Delta}383-398 and GFP-{Delta}383-398 /D546V is therefore the following: PRALSDVTDEEEVQVDPRKYLD. Importantly, the misreporting of the deleted sequence has not changed any of the conclusions or findings reported for these constructs in the paper. The authors apologize for any inconvenience that the error may have caused.
