The influence of quercetin on cortical actin dynamics. N1E-115 cells were transfected with GFP-actin and confocal images of cortical actin at the basal membrane were collected. After 10 minutes, cells were treated with 50 mM quercetin, resulting in a drop in actin motility. Image size: 5 x 5 mm; total elapsed time: 22 min.
Highly dynamic GFP-PH patches in the basal membrane of a N1E-115 cell. The basal membrane of a cell expressing GFP-PH was imaged on the confocal microscope. The intensity of the images is color-coded with the ‘glow’ color look-up table of Leica TCS software. Image size: 5 x 5 mm; total elapsed time: 8 min.
