The supplemental materials and methods describe the identification of sequence flanking the NIT1 insertion in oda5-2, the cloning of the flagellar AK cDNA and analysis of the AK genomic structure, and the construction of an HA-tagged ODA5 gene construct. Figure S1 demonstrates the cloning of endogenous sequence flanking the NIT1 integration in oda5-2.
