  Extracts of COS-1 cells transfected with the indicated EB-GFP fusions or of untransfected CHO-K1 cells were analysed by Western blotting with the indicated antibodies. The positions of endogenous EB proteins are indicated by arrowheads. Note that in addition to the protein of the correct size, mAB KT53 against EB3 cross-reacts with several other protein species in CHO-K1 cell extracts. In contrast to the protein indicated by an arrowhead, none of these additional proteins were downregulated by RNAi against EB3 (Figure 3 A and data not shown).
