Slp4-a alone and no other Slps was endogenously expressed in PC12 cells. The same amounts of PC12 cell lysates containing recombinant mRFP-Slp1~5 (lane 2 in A-E) and non-transfected PC12 cell lysates (lane 1 in A-E) were loaded on 7.5% SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-Slp1 (A), anti-Slp2-a (B), anti-Slp3-a (C), anti-Slp4-a (D), and anti-Slp5 antibody (E). Note that each of the five antibodies specifically recognized mRFP-tagged Slp1~5 (closed arrowheads) and that only Slp4-a was endogenously expressed in PC12 cells (closed arrow). The open arrowheads point to the positions of the predicted molecular mass of endogenous Slp1~3, 5 proteins. The positions of the molecular mass markers (x 10-3) are shown on the left.
