Collapsed time-lapse images of EB1-GFP foci. End-binding protein 1 (EB1) tagged with GFP was observed in live cells as individual foci or comets. The first 10 frames were pseudocolored red, the next 10 frames were pseudocolored blue, and the final 10 frames of the time lapse were pseudocolored green. Using Metamorph imaging software, a maxima projection illustrates the growth path of individual microtubules sequentially going from red to blue to green.
